PD Dr. med. Basil Grüter is a board-certified neurosurgeon with supplementary training in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology. His scientific focus centers on understanding the complex mechanisms underlying the development, growth, rupture, and healing processes of intracranial aneurysms. His research aims to uncover the biological and biomechanical factors that influence cerebrovascular pathologies, with a specific emphasis on improving patient outcomes. Technically, Dr. Grüter has expertise in both microsurgical and endovascular approaches to treating cerebrovascular diseases, allowing him to apply and improve precision techniques in clinical settings. Additionally, he is actively involved in the development and rigorous testing of new endovascular devices, pushing the boundaries of minimally invasive technology for enhanced safety and effectiveness in cerebrovascular interventions.
