Symposium “Mechanobiology and Beyond: Science and Perspectives” in honour of CABMM member Viola Vogel
Viola Vogel`s Laboratory of Applied Mechanobiology organized a special symposium on the subject “Mechanobiology and Beyond: Science and Perspectives” on June 27, 2025, at the ETH Zurich.
During the one-day event, a variety of different topics were covered in four sessions entitled “Molecular Level”, “Discovery to Innovations”, “Collaborative Science and Industrial Experiences”, and “Other Adventures”. All talks were given by people who at some point had a connection to Viola's group, for example, as a doctoral student, visiting scientist, or external collaborator. They travelled all the way from different parts of the world to celebrate incredible 35 years of successful research in Prof. Viola Vogel`s lab! It was impressive to see that for many participants more than the scientific purpose of the event was important and what influence the research in Viola's group - and Viola herself - had on their future path.
We very much enjoyed the event and are glad that the CABMM could also be there!
